Middle Tennesseans – please be careful!
We just posted our Blog yesterday about the number of vehicle related deaths increasing in this country “Why are More People Dying on the Nations Roads?“.
Just look at our last 3 days here at Benton White Insurance.We filed these following claims for our insureds!
1. FRIDAY – Our insured had a green arrow to turn left. Other vehicle starting turning left on RED and hit our insured vehicle – head on. Other driver fled the scene – wasn’t driving his own car and had outstanding warrants for his arrest. No injuries. Other driver is in jail!
2. MONDAY – Our insured was changing lanes near I-65 & I-24E and was hit by other driver causing her vehicle to hit the bridge wall. Witnesses say the other at fault driver was exhibiting erratic behavior for 2 miles prior to the incident and reportedly clipped another vehicle. Our insured – briefly hospitalized and off from work recovering. No injuries to other driver.
3. TUESDAY – Our insured was stopped at a red light waiting to turn and was rear ended by a drunk driver who was 3X over the legal limit at 1PM. The intoxicated driver had a non-valid license and was driving a rental car with no insurance. Our customer is experiencing neck and back pain which resurfaced from another previous injury.
The above certainly addresses why there are more problems on the road in an increased way and this is just in Middle Tennessee! So I remind you – PLEASE DRIVE DEFENSIVELY! None of my insureds were at fault but we have two of my insured vehicles that are TOTALED. It’s amazing there weren’t more serious injuries!
