(Buy insurance and tell the truth!)

My parents always said: “Your word is your bond! You tell the truth no matter what the cost!”  They also taught me: “Be protected! Don’t take risks and ABIDE by the LAW!”  That advice has provided for me well over these many years. It’s sad that a Nashville elected official didn’t get the same advice as me. 

NewsChannel 5 Investigates presented a story recently about a Nashville Metro Councilman who was in an accident.  At the scene, he said that he had insurance and that mistruth & inappropriate behavior now has him in hot water!

Read this story and see if you don’t agree with me! This could have had a completely different outcome had this Metro Councilman had just done the RIGHT thing(s).

Any driver in the state of Tennessee could receive a citation if he/she doesn’t have insurance on the vehicle they are driving. In our insurance world, we always add to each policy – Uninsured Motorists coverage to protect our insureds from those that do not have insurance and sadly, there remains many who do not have it. 

Maybe we can be reminded by this that getting insurance and telling the truth are not that hard to do. The results of doing both RIGHT can make a big difference in many situations.
