I know! I know!  2020 will never be forgotten! Covid-19, politics, unrest in our cities, fear, hatred, violence, suffering, and more!  Most everything about our lives has changed or there have been restrictions created prohibiting us from doing what we have always known life to be! Need I say more!?    

I can!

THANKFULLY, today, I’m writing this and you’re reading it!  That’s one bright spot! 😊  And there are more!

Even in the toughest of years – like this one, so many still:

• GRADUATED!
• Got MARRIED!
• RETIRED!
• Found out what it meant to ZOOM!
• Learned what VIRTUAL meant as it became a household word!
• CELEBRATED birthdays from 1 to 100!
• ….and although we had to keep our distance, we figured out ways to celebrate every milestone.

I choose to look at the above list instead of the first one.  That feels more HOPEFUL and without it, it would be pretty bleak. 

From Benton White Insurance, we haven’t missed a day of serving our people.  We have distanced, protected, worked from home a little, and made everything we do easy and safe for our customer by offering electronic options for their convenience.  From a business standpoint, this has been another incredible year of serving a growing number of people, and watching this business continue to rise with above-average growth!  THANK YOU for your support of it all.  We are so very thankful for you and your great insurance business! 

One thing didn’t change in 2020, my love and care for my family.  From being concerned about our two physician’s – our daughter and her husband in Atlanta – serving on the front lines during this pandemic to making sure our family stayed safe and protected throughout (and they have!).  These people in the above collage are my “away from business” source of happiness, strength and peace.  They make a pandemic seem small when – however unusual it has been – they have been there.  They have always wanted to be sure my wife and I remained safe and healthy – concerned about us first before they worried about themselves.  That is one of many things we have learned during this experience.

So yes – I’m rich with a wife – always by my side to support what I do, 4 grown children, 3 sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law (who are all doing extremely well in their worlds).  And then there are the grandchildren – ELEVEN – did I say 11 of them ages 1 – 15. Many measure how their life is by how much money they make!  I measure my happiness by these people who truly bring us JOY, JOY and more JOY!

We head into 2021 – still confused in many ways with concerns about what our future holds.  I choose to trust my Creator for the future and make sure I do all that I can for my family, friends and clients to make their lives as smooth and peaceful as possible.  That’s me and my awesome staff’s goal for sure!

Thanks again for your business!  We will continue to do our very best to earn it and be here when you need us!
